What can you expect from a dash cam install?
We install dash cams in cars, trucks, and SUVs with a clean, hardwired setup — no cheap plug hanging off your 12V socket and no cables draped across the windshield. Every camera is mounted discreetly behind the mirror and all the wiring is tucked inside the headliner, pillars, and trim. The result looks factory. Whether you want a single front camera, a front-and-rear dual-channel system, or a full parking-mode setup, we route it right the first time.
Most installs are done the same day in about 1 to 2 hours, depending on the camera and how many channels you want covered.
Why hardwire instead of using the cigarette-lighter plug?
The plug-in cord that comes with most dash cams works, but it leaves a cable dangling down your dash and ties up your only 12V outlet. Hardwiring wires the camera straight into your fuse box, so the power outlet stays free and every wire disappears into the trim. More importantly, hardwiring is what enables parking mode — the camera can keep drawing power safely even when the car is off. It is the cleaner, more permanent way to run a dash cam.
How does parking-mode protection work?
Add a parking-mode hardwire kit and your dash cam keeps watching while you are parked. The kit draws power from your battery and triggers recording when it detects an impact or motion, so you have footage if someone backs into you or bumps your car and drives off. In Florida parking lots and busy shopping centers, that hit-and-run protection is one of the biggest reasons drivers upgrade. The kit includes a low-voltage cutoff so it powers down before it can drain your battery.
Single-channel or dual-channel: which do you need?
A single-channel dash cam records the road ahead — the most common setup and a great starting point. A dual-channel system adds a rear camera so you are covered front and back, capturing rear-end collisions and what happens behind you. We route the rear camera wiring cleanly along the headliner so nothing hangs loose, and both cameras run to one tidy install.
